Lagan Meadows is located in the Stranmillis area of Belfast and is part of Lagan Valley Regional Park, which has been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

It includes woodland, wetland, hay meadow and grazed pastures like Moreland’s Meadow, which is an island between the River Lagan and a canal cut. Lagan Meadows also includes Lester’s Dam, which was built nearly 200 years ago and was the source of Belfast’s first piped water supply.
